  1. With RAID 1 I think replacement drives have to be the same size (in this case 4TB) so we can't – over time – slowly expand capacity as drives fail and become cheaper.

    I think this is where RAID 5 comes in?

  2. Also, can you clarify the test results as you show two sets of results but I can't tell is one is raid 0 vs raid 1 or they are both raid 1 but different drives?

  3. RGG EDU, Is it possible i could make a Raid 1 Mirror setup and use 1 drive as a portable drive? I work a lot on location and I always work from my field drive. Is it possible that when i am at home and put the field drive in my dock that it will automaticly copy the data (RAID 1 Mirror)????
