We catch up with Don Broco frontman Rob Damiani to hear about how writing sessions are progressing on their follow-up to ‘Technology’. Rob talks about the challenges of writing a new album over Zoom and their aims for the future of the band. Plus, we look back on how their recent single ‘Action’ came together and preparing for their massive UK arena tour last year. And he tells us the story of how their famous cowboy from their music videos ended up on stage with them at Warped Tour, with a little help from Waterparks’ Awsten Knight.

Who is hyped to hear those new songs?
Lockdown? I suppose it was relevant when you're going to prepare for planning arena gigs soon. That plague shit got old fast.
Rob is Vessel from Sleep Token
He says you know know every 5 seconds
Does anyone know when they want to release these new songs?
Heard these back in 2018 and became obsessed with them , got to see them at the start of last year and it's one of the best gigs I've seen, the way they interact with the crowd and the fact they play as good or if not better then the album
Marry me
First music video I saw was Everybody and I thought the cowboy was the singer at first haha.
First saw this band at underage fest in Victoria Park London 2009. They played on a tiny Red Bull stage. There was hay/straw all over the floor. When they played thug workout, the crowd went crazy and said straw was flying everywhere. Been a huge fan ever since. I remember just binging their Myspace songs on repeat back then.
Cut to reading festival a few years later, they get onto the radio 1 presenting stage and absolutely killed it. Matt threw his drumsticks into the crowd. I managed to catch one.
In drunken fan boy mode, I grabbed a sharpie and snuck to the back of the stage. Matt came and spoke to me for a while and everyone signed the drumstick. One of my best festival memories.
This band have come so far and they completely deserve it!
I really love how Don Broco still write their music together. so many bands today depends on one main songwriter, so it's so refreshing to hear these guys write together like that. one of the reasons why Don Broco sounds so unique
❤️
